18th Annual Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern Golf Tournament
Benefiting the Arts in Herndon, including scholarships, in-school arts programming (theatre, poetry, music), murals and more!
Council for the Arts of Herndon and Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern is pleased to announce our 18th annual Golf Tournament, to be held once again at Herndon Centennial Golf Course on Ferndale Avenue! This year’s event is sure to be a smashing success. The Caddyshack themed tournament, which includes over 150 players each year, raises money for the Council for the Arts of Herndon; funds which then go towards arts scholarships, public art, and other community programs right here in Herndon. Last year, over $28,000.00 was raised thanks to the generosity of our players, friends, and volunteers. This year, we can not only meet that number, but, with the help of the amazing Herndon community, we are confident that we can beat it. We are still accepting sponsorships for this amazing event!
We at CAH are especially thankful to Jimmy Cirrito of Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern for hosting this tournament. Jimmy, Maureen, and Kelsey Cirrito opened Jimmy’s Tavern doors on May 29, 1997, and since then have established a reputation for giving back to the community. In addition to hosting this annual tournament, Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern has been a sponsor of Friday Night Live on summer Friday evenings in downtown Herndon on the Town Green. The Herndon restaurant has also won Northern Virginia Magazine’s “best wings” award several times. For more information on Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern visit www.jimmystavern.com.
