An exhibit featuring finalists in the 8th Annual Fine Art Photography Competition.

Competition judge and renowned photographer Carla Steckley made the selections for the finalists and will announce winners of the competition during the Awards Reception.

37 stunning and diverse photographs were selected from 225 submissions by 75 professional and amateur photographers in Virginia, Maryland, D.C., and West Virginia. The photographers selected to exhibit are Thomas Brett, Mark Chen, James Diedrich, Peter Foiles, Judith Guenther, Nicol Hockett, Joshua Katz, Robin Kent, Greg Knott, Kathyrn Mohrman, John Petro, Robert Pierce, Andrew Rhodes, Joanne Rojcewicz, Gerard Rugel, Sarah Saloman, Tracy Sarang, Lori Saunders, Mary Ann Setton, Meryl Silver, Ron Taylor, William Toti, Jim Turner, Charles Walker, and Ginger Werz-Petricka.

We welcome Carla Steckley as our judge for the annual ArtSpace Herndon Fine Art Photography competition and exhibit.  She has been a serious photographer since the late 80’s. She remembers the traditional wet darkroom in her home, where she produced Illfochrome and black and white images. Her specialty was Infrared Photography, leading to numerous lectures on the subject and writing a book about the process. She now happily embraces the benefits of the digital world.
