Nina discovered painting unexpectedly when friends took her to a 'design and wine' evening. She loved the smell of paint immediately and the feeling of adventure it brings. After working for more than 30 years in Information Technology, and never touching paint, she stumbled into something which gave her joy.
In 2017 her painting journey began with art classes at the Reston Community Center, and the excellent welcome and opportunities in the RCC community. Painting changed her world, seeing it from a different perspective now; the twigs of the tree, the colors of the sky, the expression on the face of a child, and so much beauty all around.
She is still experimenting in media and styles, but her favorite is oil in a semi-traditional style - at the moment. Her love of travel and seeing new places and capturing the moments.
Arts Herndon is proud to present this amazing Exhibition by Nina Joffey. Nina, a member of The League of Reston Artists, and Vienna Art Society, has exhibited both in Reston and Vienna – and now in here in Herndon.
Her exhibition presents many of the paintings from her traveling experience, her observations and life's captured moments. Opening on August 2nd until August 25th, a Reception to Meet the Arts will be held on Sunday August 6th from 4 – 6pm
